    Hello Everyone,

    In light of so many issues concerning mystery auctions, I have decided to implement a new rule.
    If you wish to host a mystery auction, you will be required to contact a mod and let them know what the prize is. As long as a mod is PMed, you can host the auction.
    So, you would first contact a mod, and after the PM is sent, you can post your auction. If the time stamp of the PM is after the posting of the auction, it will be taken down.
    In the original auction thread, you MUST inform the community which mod was contacted, and the winner must contact that mod to verify the authenticity of the prize.
    I feel this method will be the best way to continue with mystery auctions, and limit the scams going on such as changing prizes based on bids.

    With all that being said, bidders please remember that it is a mystery auction, and you will be bidding without knowing what you will get. As for auctioneers, it is a gamble if you host a mystery auction, and you are expected to go through with the trade no matter what once a winner is declared. That applies to bidders as well.

    The mods are
    @Hal Jordan
    @MetalGeekMark
    @Loki
    @AlexHavoc98

    Remember to have fun!
    May the Force Be with You All!

    Excellent. Those shoddily run and scam ridden auctions were taking this section over. I'm very glad to see them being addressed.

    What about a rule regarding the new trend for raffles on here?

    If run well I think they can be a lot of fun, but I see the potential for abuse if there aren't certain rules put in place, e.g. requiring a fantasy draft selector (or whatever it's called). Apparently they can't be manipulated unlike what some people do e.g. just saying they've used random.org or something.

    Just a thought...

    Haven't really seen many ruffles running here which use anything but that Fantasy Draft Generator.

    As for the new rule for mystery auctions, well, I'm gonna have more competition bidding in those. :)

    basically, you can host the auction however you like, just send a mod the list of prizes BEFORE you post.

    How does one host a mystery auction? Is there any limits on what the prizes have to be? Also, how do I PM a mod?
