Has anybody heard any news about new star wars games being released? With force arena shutting down it really only leaves star wars commander and galaxy of heroes.

Neither really interest me, commander being just the same old coc remix, and goh being a pretty expensive-grindy game.

Should i expect any new collection/battling style games to be coming out? I want a star wars fix but commander just doesn't cut it, and I can't sell me soul to GoH.

I haven't heard anything game wise. There will be some new star wars stuff on the new disney streaming app but no other star wars app store news. Wish this game would come back.

In the aftermath of TLJ, the profitability of Star Wars has evaporated.

Solo lost money. Toys sit on store shelves. Galaxy's Edge was a ghost-town after the first week or so. Resistance has already been canceled; it's second season is it's last.

The Mandalorian LOOKS like it'll be good, but Disney will screw the pooch, somehow. The Rise Of Skywalker will be a huge hit, even if Disney has to buy the tickets themselves, like they did with Captain Marvel.

At this point, why care anymore? Star Wars is dead, and Disney's just dragging the corpse around, Weekend At Bernie's-style.

I got on an old computer at work that still had my trade shop thread favorited so I thought I would pop in here to check it out.

Looks like a lego version of star wars force arena. And force arena was just a star wars skinned clash royale. So creative lol. I'll give it a try and probably quit within a week.

Well... The Mandalorian made it to the end of it's first season without sucking. It's pretty obvious that neither Kathleen Kennedy, nor any of her sjw cronies, were allowed anywhere near this project. Filoni FTW, once again.

Rise Of Skywalker, on the other hand....... Oy vey. There was evidence of some shill ticket purchases....but only in a few, select areas, and on specific days....nowhere near the level of Capt Marvel. Disney is blatantly pulling the strings at Rotten Tomatoes, instead...multiple thousands of spambots leaving 5 star reviews, and the Audience Score percentage has been locked at 86% since before it hit 6k reviews. It now has over 62k reviews, and still locked at 86% :) They don't even TRY to hide what they're doing

This trilogy was a lost cause, as soon as they decided to start filming TFA, without any actual plan for the follow-ups. But, if Iger pulls his head out of his ass, keeps Kennedy away, and lets Filoni and Favreau work unhindered, then maybe, MAYBE, Star Wars can claw it's way back to being decent.

Edit: As of Jan 8, approaching the end of its run, RoS is hovering in the 930 million range. With a total film budget (both initial and the MASSIVE amount of reshoots) in the 400-500 mil range, and a marketing budget of 500 mil, it's safe to say, RoS is NOT a hit of any kind.

Without exact budget numbers, it's hard to say with certainty if it falls on the Profit or Loss side of the Breaking Even line, but either way, it's really, really close to that line.

Oh, and Rotten Tomatoes is STILL locked at 86% :)

I (surprisingly) didn't mind Rise of Skywalker too much. It was a movie that kept me entertained for the entirety of it. (unlike TLJ which had me struggling to stay interested,- seriously, 152 minutes of ships chasing each other and worrying about fuel.)

Overall though, the prequel trilogy is a disaster. There is no continuity between the 3 installments. TFA takes the story one way and set up plenty of plot lines to be fulfilled. TLJ then made the move to throw away the past. And then J.J. decided he was gonna just ignore TLJs existence. Seriously, try watching all three in a marathon like you can with the other two trilogies. It is downright painful and confusing.

On the topic of Star Wars games there are still no decent Star Wars mobile games out there. GOH is a goner, the devs aren't even trying anymore, and the power creep has gone much too far. Oh well, I don't really wanna give Disney any time or money anyway, lol!

Not a mobile game (tho maybe will get a mobile game variant?) But later this year we get Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

I am definitely looking forward to that. I have the mobile version of the Lego Lord of the Rings game and it is great, and it was from over 5 years ago. I have high expectations for it:)

Same. I hope better than Lego TFA. That one was not good but the other Lego Star Wars games have been great.
